Situated 135 meters (401 feet) underground “Warsaw” Chamber in the Wieliczka Salt Mine has been the place of our Saturday night party since 2012. Also this year Dragon Swing team invites you to the beautiful underground ballroom with almost 700 m2 of wooden floor.

Since the Wieliczka Salt Mine is over 10 kilometers from the Cracow Old Town we will be providing transportation (special Dragon Swing buses) from the area where our housing and workshops take place to the Salt Mine, as well as return.

At the registration desk we will give you special ticket for a bus which will take you to the party.

However, please note that you will be entering the Wieliczka Salt Mine via a mining shaft in a miner cage to a depth of 135 meters.

VERY IMPORTANT! During the party there will be a technical break, and the main shaft will not be operational in that time (about 2 hours). In this time you will not be able to enter or leave the Salt Mine except in an emergency or special circumstance. In this time, for your entertainment we will have the finals of the competitions, as well as the awarding of the Golden and Green Dragons.

Smoking: In the Warsaw Chamber, there will be a specially designated smoking area. Outside this area, smoking is strictly forbidden.

Cell Phones: Although the party takes place 135 m underground, most mobile phones will have reception in the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Food and beverages: no worries - there will be a bar and the underground restaurant which will be open during the party :)

We would like to let you know, and perhaps warn you, that in the Salt Mine there is a unique microclimate, which has a particular effect on partygoers. Here a combination of air pressure and air content causes the effects of alcohol to be muted... until he or she arrives at the surface.

The Salt Mine is a place unique on a world scale:

"The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka is the only mining site in the world functioning continuously since the Middle Ages. Its original excavations (longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes, as well as minor and major shafts) are located on nine levels and extend for the total of about 300 kilometres: reaching the depth of 327 metres they illustrate all the stages of mining technology development over time."

The quotation comes from the justification for entering the Wieliczka Salt Mine on UNESCO's First World List of Cultural and Natural Heritage, on September 8, 1978 together with 11 other sites from around the world. Indeed, the Wieliczka Mine reflects the progress of mining technology, the development of work organisation and management, and the introducing of industry legislation since the Middle Ages.

Welcome !
