After long deliberations our jury finally made their choice. Of the four videos sended to us they chose a choreography made by Peter Kepic and Pavlina Grombirikova! The winners receive a Full Pass for the Dragon Swing 2013 and an opportunity to teach their routine during the festival.

Congratulation to Pavlina & Peter and we are looking forward to see you guys in November!

GiedreDue to the high registration rate, and interest in more class options, we have decided to add a Solo Track in addition to our Lindy Hop offerings! That is 12 hours of intensive  work on your solo dancing. Leading the roster for this new offering we have the beautiful Giedre Palpaityte .

Any dancers who are currently signed up for the Lindy Hop workshops or on the waiting list can transfer to this track by sending an e-mail with "Solo Track" in the subject line to the e-mail address from which you received your registration confirmation.

We are excited about this expansion, and we will be announcing the other teachers for the solo track in conjunction with the announcement of our 4th teaching couple shortly. We encourage all participants in this track to participate in the Solo Charleston competition.

Summary of the first 3 days of registration. Comparing to last year, this year we have eight times more people. Currently, we have participants from 18 countries: Germany, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Australia, Greece, United Kingdom, Sweden, Russian Federation, France, Denmark, Spain, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, Belarus.

Due to such high registration rate of followers for Dragon Swing 2013: Lindy Underground - we must open a waiting list for all followers registering alone for all levels except the Beginner Level.
Waiting ListIf you are a follower who is registering with a lead please enter his or her name in the registration form, and make sure the partner includes your name in the registration form as well. This will let you bypass the waiting list.

We will start accepting followers off of the waiting list when the lead to follow ratio improves. Girls are encouraged to to register as leads - however they will be expected to participate in that role during the workshops.

This year we are returning in full strength with the Green Dragon Teaching and Choreography Competition!

We are running it a second time jointly with  - your premier source for free dance education.

Last year Audun and Charlotte were the winners of the Green Dragon, and you can view their submission here.

They blew us all away with their personalities and skillz, and they showcased their routine together with their students in the Wieliczka Salt Mine:

We were so impressed with them that not only were we proud to hand our Green Dragon over to them,  they will also be returning this year as full time instructors!

So what are you waiting for? Start prepping your choreographies, buy that camera you have had your eye on but needed an excuse to buy (or convince a friend to buy and then borrow it for a month or so)! This year's rules will be up shortly, in the meantime you can see last year's rules, and last year's entries.
